Adult Sports

The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer adult sports programs throughout the year. We are constantly teaming up with other groups to serve the community of Hutto. If you have a suggestion of a program or league you would like to see please let us know. Our registration is done online through ActiveNet or through the Parks and Recreation Office while the schedules and rules will be posted on our Team Sideline Page.

Open Play Senior Pickleball

What is Pickleball? Pickleball is a fun and easy-to-learn game that is taking recreation facilities around the country by storm! Played as doubles or singles, Pickleball is an entertaining sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

Due to COVID-19, open play is suspended until further notice.

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • 8:30 am to 10:30 am
  • Fritz Park Tennis Courts
  • $12 per month or $2 per day

Slow Pitch Softball (Men’s & CoRec)

We’re excited to be holding softball on our remodeled Holmstrom Field! We will be offering multiple seasons throughout the year including a Spring, Summer, and Fall season for Men’s and CoRec. Rules and schedules will be posted on our Team Sideline page and registration is available by team on ActiveNet. ASA rules will be followed. All equipment such as gloves, helmets (optional), and balls need to be provided by the team. The Parks and Recreation Department will supply extra balls in case any team needs them.

  • CoRec League 1 hour: Mondays (Recreational) and Fridays (Competitive)
  • Men’s League 1 hour: Wednesdays
  • Recreational and competitive divisions
  • 8 game season, $350 per team fee
  • All leagues will have a playoff for the final four teams

CoRec 8 vs 8 Adult Flag Football League

Head back to the gridiron with our adult flag football league. We are offering a CoRec 8 v 8 league. Teams should have matching jerseys or matching colored shirts. Flags will be provided by Hutto Parks and Recreation but teams are free to use their own. Flags must be a minimum of 12 inches and no longer than 18 inches. Teams can provide their own balls, but Parks and Recreation will have game balls if necessary. Rules and schedules will be posted on our Team Sideline page and registration is available by team on ActiveNet.

  • Games will be played on Tuesday Nights
  • Season start date to be determined
  • $350 per team
  • Each team will have 8 games
  • Top 4 teams after at the end of the season will play a single-elimination tournament to determine the champion
  • Team managers can register football teams online

Kickball

It’s time to take them back to school! Kickball is being offered to play at Holmstrom Field. Games are played with a 10" Kickball and up to 12 people on the field. Rules and schedules will be posted on our Team Sideline page and registration is available by team on ActiveNet.

Adult Basketball Leagues (Men’s & CoEd)

We’re playing basketball! Grab your friends and join our men’s and coed leagues. Teams should have matching jerseys or matching colored shirts. Rules and schedules will be posted on our Team Sideline page.

  • Games will be played on Wednesday Nights at Hutto Middle School
  • $365 per team
  • 7 week season
  • Top 4 teams after at the end of the season will play a single-elimination tournament to determine the champion

Hutto Tennis Academy

New to the community is the Hutto Tennis Academy! Taught by instructor Garrett Pekar, this academy offers private lessons and group lessons for all ages. Coach Pekar has years of experience instructing tennis and is offering a high-quality program to help improve skills.
