The Financial Services Department plans and directs the City's financial activities and provides information to support decisions. The department analyzes financial and operational data, such as performance measures, and makes recommendations on City operations and procedures to ensure fiscal accountability and effective use of City Resources.
The City of Hutto Financial Services Department was awarded the Silver Level Award for Fiscal Transparency by the State of Texas Comptroller. This award exemplifies that Hutto is making great strides to becoming more financially transparent and encouraging the community to participate in the government process.
Fiscal Year 2020 to 2021 Proposed Budget
A Budget Hearing on the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 proposed budget was held at City Hall on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 7 pm.
Proposed Tax Rate
The city of Hutto proposed a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.14% and will raise taxes for maintenance operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $16.67.
September 3, 2020 Public Meeting
The City of Hutto will hold a public meeting to vote on the Tax Rate on September 3, 2020 at 7 pm at City Hall.
